‘I am not a teacher, but an awakener.’

Today was the first day of my teaching practice. I reached the school at 9:15 am. Today was an open assembly day. Today's assembly was conducted by 6 standard students from B division. Assembly starts with prayer followed by thought of the day, news, principles message and national anthem. One of the student sang a beautiful New year song. We went to classes in accordance with the time table of the school. As for me I had class during the 4th period at 9C. I was tensed at first then I greeted the class. The class has 48 students. I introduced myself to the class then I ask their names and their interest. It was fun get into know them. Then I divide the whole class into four groups and select leaders from each group. I make a good rapport with my students. At lunch time some of my friends went to mid day meal program. At evening we signed the attendance register and went back to home.
